At Sam’s Fife there is always a warm welcome by a team of mental health peer workers who offer time-space-compassion. Peer workers have their own lived experience of mental health issues and a recovery journey. Peers can offer compassion from the perspective of a lived journey.

One- to-one support is offered at Sam’s Fife, with the support starting with what is important for the person that day. Sam’s Fife is a safe space where you can explore wellbeing, relationship, family issues, crisis situations and suicidal thoughts.

People are welcome to attend with a family member/friend/ worker...Sam’s Fife is a 16 years plus (and no longer in School education) project, therefore people have to be over 16 when attending or attending with someone.

Sam’s Dunfermline is very near to a bus stop and also a railway station. There is car parking at the rear of the building.

Sam's Dunfermline is located within the SAMH traditional building on Woodmill Road...next to the Dunfermline Mail Sorting Office, located within a fantastic garden area.

A safe, welcoming space to have a conversation with a peer worker…within the front room there is an open space that has numerous seats and tables in it. Across the hall is a chilled out room that leads onto the kitchen. 

There is an accessible ramp to the rear of the building and a pathway to the front. Both of the doors have a doorbell, a peer worker will meet a person at the door and welcome them into Sam’s Fife.

On accessing Sam’s Fife a peer worker will offer a warm welcome, explain about Sam’s Fife support and get the kettle on! People will be offered the time - space - compassion to explore what is important for them that day.

(It is not likely that a person will have to wait for support however there is a waiting area that has Sam’s Fife magazines and leaflets to read)
